Michael O'Melia

Michael O’Melia is the Director of Strategic Growth Technology at Big Think Capital, where he drives the company’s AI adoption and builds the technology behind its expansion into new markets and service offerings. He most recently served as a Consultant at RSM US LLP, where he led the design and delivery of enterprise integration and data migration projects across ERP, CRM, HCM, and e-commerce platforms. His work spanned major systems including NetSuite, Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Workday, and SAP S/4HANA, consistently achieving on-time delivery with minimal go-live defects. In addition to his technical leadership, Michael collaborated closely with sales and solution engineering teams on technical scoping and proofs of concept, helping drive over $300,000 in new annual business.

Prior to RSM, Michael spent three years at Cloudflare as an Enterprise Integration Developer, where he built scalable integration solutions across finance, sales, and operations systems such as NetSuite, Stripe, Workday, Salesforce, and Marketo. He began his career at Dell Boomi as an Integration Consultant in Professional Services, managing full project lifecycles for clients across a range of industries and earning recognition as the winner of the company’s first annual hackathon. Michael holds multiple certifications, including Boomi Professional Developer and Architecture, as well as Workato and MuleSoft Developer credentials, and is proficient in Groovy, JavaScript, and Go. He earned his B.S. in Management Information Systems with High Honors from Penn State’s Smeal College of Business.

On a personal level, Michael recently celebrated turning 30 with a memorable trip through Italy, highlighted by attending a music festival at Lake Como. He’s also an avid golfer who can drive the ball 300 yards—though he’ll be the first to admit his putting could use some work. Outside of work and sports, Michael has nurtured a lifelong passion for drawing, a hobby that dates back to his childhood when he once aspired to become a car designer.
