Ethan Carmody is an IT Associate at Big Think Capital, bringing a strong blend of technical curiosity and real-world experience to the team. Professionally, he is currently pursuing a Master of Applied Science in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania’s Engineering School, which he is completing remotely while continuing to grow his career. His global perspective was shaped through a two-month volunteer experience in Manado, Indonesia, where he contributed to environmental conservation efforts, addressed malnutrition challenges, promoted proper waste disposal, and became scuba certified while building structures to support coral reef growth. Deeply interested in the intersection of finance and technology, Ethan actively seeks opportunities to bridge technical solutions with meaningful business outcomes.

Outside of work, Ethan enjoys skiing, golfing, and cooking amazing food—interests that reflect both his adventurous spirit and attention to detail. These personal passions complement his professional drive, helping him maintain a balanced and energized approach to his work in technology.
